What is a Physiotherapist?

Physiotherapists are university trained and are experts in injury diagnosis, injury treatment, exercise prescription, injury prevention, rehabilitation and many other areas of sport, health and fitness.

What do I need to bring?

If you have any medical reports or test results you could bring them in if they are relevant to your treatment. If you do take any medications please make sure to bring a list of your medications. If you are coming here under the community funded physiotherapy program, then please make sure to bring in a referral note from your doctor, your OHIP health card, and a list of your medications. We do have our own in-house doctor handy, if you do need to consult with him as well.

How many visits will I need?

The number of treatment visits will vary depending on the problem and the individual. After a thorough assessment, the physiotherapist will discuss with you the treatment plan and the number of visits.

What should I wear to my appointment?

If you would like to use your own towels etc. please make sure to bring one large towel and one small towel.  Also please make sure that you are wearing light easy on-and-off clothes, and that ideally you are wearing sneakers or slip-on shoes that are comfortable for exercising in.

How do I make an appointment?

You can get in touch by phone (416 - 226 - 2402) or use the form under the contact page.

Initial Assessments may be booked by filling out the Quick Appointment Request Form.

For the community funded physiotherapy program, please call our number (416-226-2402) now for an appointment.

Do I have to be referred by a doctor?

No, physiotherapists can assess and treat without referral by a doctor. However most health insurers require a doctor's referral note before they authorize coverage of fees.

We do have our own in-house doctor should you need to consult with him.

Treatment duration depends on your diagnosis, the severity of your impairments, your past medical history, and other factors.  Re-evaluations will be done to assess your progress and your therapist will communicate with your physician to help you achieve your therapy goals.

We see and treat patients for a wide range of conditions and diagnoses.  Please visit our Services for an extensive list of conditions and diagnoses that we see our patients for.

We are proud to have about 20 therapists & assistants on our staff, who are very highly qualified, trained and are certified and are authorized to practice in Ontario.

We will check with your (EHC) Insurance coverage to determine if outpatient physiotherapy services are covered under your plan. We recommend that you confirm your insurance coverage also.

Please call our clinic now at 416-226-2402 to reschedule your visit.
